Lenaco Corporation was founded by the Dilena family in 1958 to supply the growing coin operated laundry industry with detergents and specialty cleaners. Originally named Blue Ribbon Soap Company, Inc., Lenaco's business grew rapidly as the coin laundry industry boomed during the 1960's. As the company grew, Lenaco quickly diversified into providing an extensive range of supplies to car washes, hotels, motels, municipalities as well as industrial and commercial businesses of all types.

Originally, Lenaco focused on the Northern and Central California marketplace. Once a strong foundation was established, the company rapidly expanded further into the Americas as well as Asia/Pacific and Europe. Lenaco Corporation, though its three wholly owned divisions, supplies thousands of products to customers throughout the world.

The corporation is privately owned by the Dilena family.
